Land Claims are your primary tool for protecting your builds and belongings on WildForge Realms. Once you claim a piece of land, other players cannot break blocks, open chests, or interact with anything inside your claim without your permission.
Creating Your First Claim
Craft or find a golden shovel โ this is your claim tool. Hold it in your hand to enter claim mode.
Right-click the ground at one corner of the area you want to claim. A glowstone block will appear marking that corner.
Walk to the opposite corner of your desired area and right-click the ground again. Your claim will be created between those two points.
Gold and glowstone particles will appear showing the borders of your new claim. You're protected!
Useful Commands
/claiminfoโ See info about the claim you're standing in/abandonlaimโ Delete the claim you're standing in/trust [player]โ Give a player full access to your claim/containertrust [player]โ Let a player access chests only/accesstrust [player]โ Let a player use buttons, levers, and doors/untrust [player]โ Remove a player's access/claimlistโ See all your claims and how many blocks you have left
Claim Blocks
Claim blocks determine how much land you can protect. You start with a base amount and earn more through various means:
- Earn 50 claim blocks for every daily vote on any vote site
- Purchase additional claim blocks from the server store
- Donor ranks (Duke, Viscount, Emperor) grant bonus claim blocks on purchase
- Emperor rank grants 5,000 bonus claim blocks every time the rank is renewed
Don't build within 50 blocks of another player's claim without their permission โ this is against the rules and can result in a warning.
Claim Permissions Explained
- /trust โ Full build and break access โ give this only to people you fully trust
- /containertrust โ Can open chests, furnaces, and dispensers but cannot build or break
- /accesstrust โ Can use buttons, levers, and doors but nothing else
- /permissiontrust โ Can grant other players access up to their own level โ use with extreme caution
Claims can be bypassed during a Siege if your claim is actively being sieged and the attacker wins. See the Siege Command guide for full details.

WildForge Realms lets you bind a Goat Horn to your tamed mount. Once bound, blowing that horn will teleport your mount directly to your side โ no matter where it is in the world, even if it's in an unloaded chunk far away.
Supported Mounts
- Horses, donkeys, and mules
- Llamas and trader llamas
- Camels
- Happy Ghasts (aerial mounts)
How to Bind Your Horn
Tame your horse or other mount as normal. It must be fully tamed before you can bind a horn to it.
Obtain a Goat Horn โ these drop from goats when they ram into solid blocks. Any type of Goat Horn works.
Hold the Goat Horn in your hand and right-click your tamed mount. The horn is now bound to that specific animal.
From anywhere in the world, right-click the horn to blow it. Your mount will teleport directly to you.
Important Rules
- Only the owner of the bound horn can summon the mount โ no one else can steal it
- Each horn is bound to one specific mount
- To unbind the horn, sneak and look straight up while holding it
- If your mount dies, the horn becomes unbound and can be reused
This is especially useful for the Happy Ghast โ you can summon your aerial mount from the ground without having to find where it drifted off to!
Beyond standard horses, WildForge Realms adds several exotic mount options and craftable tools that expand how you explore and interact with the world.
The Ravager Mount
Craft a Lasso at the Smithing Table and use it on a Ravager to take control of the beast. Ravagers are massive, high-health mounts that respond to WASD movement while lassoed.
Ravagers will still try to attack you if you dismount. Stay on or keep your distance โ these are mounts of war, not pets.
Lasso Recipe (Smithing Table)
- Template: Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template
- Base: Lead (any)
- Addition: Netherite Ingot
The Sniffer Mount
Craft a Torchflower Seed on a Stick and right-click a Sniffer to mount it. The Sniffer moves in the direction you're facing, making it a slow but unique exploration companion.
Torchflower Seed on a Stick Recipe (2x2)
- Top-left: Torchflower Seed
- Bottom-right: Fishing Rod
The Ravager mount is devastating in siege situations โ its high health and trample potential make it a frontline war beast.
WildForge Realms features a full ship-building system. Build a vessel out of real Minecraft blocks, craft a Ship Wheel, place it on your ship, and set sail. Ships have physics-based buoyancy โ how you build determines whether it floats.
Building Your Ship
Construct your ship from wood, planks, and other allowed blocks. The shape is up to you โ just make sure it's connected and has enough buoyant blocks to float.
Use the Ship Wheel recipe: Logs in corners, Iron Ingots on top/bottom/sides, and a Plank in the center.
Place the Ship Wheel on your completed ship structure. This activates the ship and makes it sailable.
Right-click the Ship Wheel to take the helm. Use WASD to navigate the waters.
Buoyancy Rules
- Heavier blocks (iron, stone) reduce buoyancy
- Wood and planks are the primary floating material
- Light-emitting blocks (lanterns, glowstone, sea lanterns) significantly increase buoyancy
- Enough light-emitting blocks can make your ship fly as an airship
Cannons
Place a Dispenser backed by an Obsidian block on your ship to create a cannon. Load it with arrows or other projectiles and fire from the ship menu or manually.
Additional Features
- Passengers can walk freely on deck while the ship is moving
- Ships take damage from collisions โ build sturdy or sail carefully
- Rare Drowned mobs have a 5% chance to drop a Ship Wheel as an alternative to crafting
Use the Dynmap live map to plan naval trade routes between player settlements โ sea travel is faster than walking across large distances.
Siege Command is WildForge Realms' custom PvP system that allows clans to declare war on a rival player's land claim. A successful siege grants temporary access to loot the defeated claim. This is the highest-stakes PvP on the server โ prepare carefully before declaring.
Both the attacker and defender must be above Rank 1 (Farmer/Settler). New players cannot initiate or be targeted by sieges. You must be in a clan to siege.
Phase 1 โ Declaring a Siege
To start a siege, use the command:
/siege challenge <player>
The target player must be online and standing inside one of their own GriefPrevention claims when you issue the challenge. The following checks must all pass:
- Target is online
- Target is standing in their own claim
- Your clan is not on siege cooldown (24-hour cooldown between sieges)
- Neither clan is already in an active siege
- Both you and the target are above the minimum rank
If all checks pass, a server-wide announcement fires: "The Clan [ClanName] has declared a siege on [TargetName]'s claim!"
Phase 2 โ Active Siege
Once declared, the siege is live. A bossbar timer appears for all participants showing how long remains.
- Any attacking clan member's kill counts
- Defender can be killed inside or outside the claim
- Combat-logging counts as a death
- Attacker dies before threshold met
- Attacker logs out during the siege
- 30-minute timer expires
- 50% of defender pool must be eliminated
- Pool capped at 5 if 10+ defenders online
- Solo defender = 1 kill wins
Defender Pool Rules
- The defender pool is determined at siege start โ clan members online at that moment
- Late-joining defenders who enter the claim boundary during the siege are added to the pool
- There is a 3-second grace period when entering the claim boundary before you're added
- If 10 or more defenders are online, the pool is capped at 5 defenders
- A defender killed twice only counts once โ no double-counting
Eliminated Player Rules
- Eliminated players are sent to spawn and cannot re-enter the claim
- Eliminated players cannot teleport back via /home or /tpa
- Eliminated players cannot shoot projectiles into the claim from outside
- Players cannot disable their clan during a siege
Phase 3 โ Resolution
- Attacker clan enters a 30-minute Looting State
- Can break up to 200 blocks in the claim
- Can open all chests, doors, and use redstone
- Defender can still contest inside the claim during loot phase
- After loot timer expires, claim is re-protected
- Siege ends immediately
- Attacking clan is placed on a 24-hour cooldown
- Cannot be re-sieged by the same clan until cooldown expires
The Looting Phase
When attackers win, they enter the Looting State for the specific claim that was sieged. During this phase:
- Winning clan can break blocks freely โ but only up to 200 blocks total
- Once the 200-block cap is hit, block breaking stops โ chest access continues until the timer ends
- Buttons, levers, and pressure plates work for the winning clan
- The defender can open their own chests and break their own blocks (uncapped) during this phase
- PvP is active inside the claim โ defenders can still contest the loot
- The claim is not deleted โ it remains the defender's land after the timer ends
Logging out during an active siege as the defender counts as an automatic forfeit โ the attacker wins. PvPManager enforces this automatically. Don't combat log.
Cooldowns & Restrictions
- Attacking clan is on a 24-hour cooldown after a siege ends (win or lose)
- Cannot siege the same clan twice within the cooldown window
- Cannot join a clan that is currently in an active siege or loot phase
- Rank 1 players cannot initiate or be targeted โ they are fully protected
Coordinate with your clan before declaring. Make sure you have enough active members online to see the siege through โ a failed siege puts your whole clan on cooldown.
The Chakram is a craftable thrown weapon drawn from ancient mythology. Spin it up and release โ it flies from your hand in a spinning arc, dealing damage to any entity in its path. A precision weapon that rewards good aim.
How to Use
- Hold the Chakram and right-click to throw it
- It travels in an arc dealing damage to entities it hits
- Best used at medium range where the arc is most predictable
Crafting Recipe
- Place 4 Echo Shards on the North, East, South, and West slots
- Place 1 Breeze Rod in the center slot
- All corner slots are empty
The Chakram is one of the mythological custom weapons available on WildForge Realms, inspired by legendary disc weapons used by ancient warriors.
WildForge Realms adds two powerful warfare mechanics โ the War Chariot for mobile melee destruction, and the Ballista for ranged siege warfare.
War Chariot
The War Chariot is assembled in the field โ no crafting table required. Drive it at full speed and trample everything in your path.
How to Build a Chariot
Have a Lead in your hand and a Minecart placed on rails nearby.
Have a tamed, saddled horse near the minecart.
Hold the Lead and shift-click to connect the horse and minecart together, forming the chariot.
Mount the chariot and ride at enemies. Speed matters โ faster = more trample damage.
Ballista
The Ballista is a placeable ranged siege weapon. After crafting, place it on the ground, aim it, and fire for devastating AoE damage.
Ballista Recipe (Crafting Table)
- Top row: Iron Block, Crossbow, Iron Block
- Middle row: Iron Block, Stick, Iron Block
- Bottom row: Stick, Stick, Stick
How to Use
- Place the Ballista on the ground
- Right-click to aim and interact with it
- Fire to launch a projectile dealing AoE damage on impact
- A direct hit deals significantly increased bonus damage
Ballistae are most effective during sieges โ place one outside a claim before declaring to soften defenders before the fight begins.
The Brewery adds a full custom alchemy system on top of vanilla brewing. Master the three-stage process of fermentation, distillation, and aging to create powerful and unusual potions. Most of the best recipes are secret โ experimentation is how you find them.
The Three Stages
Fill a cauldron with water and place it over fire or lava. Add your chosen ingredients and wait. Timing is critical โ the exact number of minutes you ferment affects the quality and type of your brew. Too short or too long and the result changes.
Bottle the fermented brew using a glass bottle, then place it in a Brewing Stand. Add Glowstone Dust to the top slot to distill. Some brews require multiple distillation passes.
Place the distilled brew inside an Oak Barrel and wait. Different brews age for different amounts of time. Some improve significantly with longer aging, others reach peak quality quickly.
Crafting an Oak Barrel
- Left and right columns: Oak Planks (6 total)
- Top-center and bottom-center: Oak Stairs
- Center: empty
Place the barrel in the world and interact with it to insert and remove brews.
Quality System
Every brew has a quality rating from 1 to 3 stars. Quality is determined by how closely you followed the recipe:
- โ โ โ โ Perfect timing, correct distillation, optimal aging
- โ โ โ Slightly off on one stage
- โ โ Poor execution โ may have unexpected or negative effects
Keep notes on what you try โ ingredients, fermentation time, distillation passes, and aging duration. The secret recipes reward methodical experimentation.
Most of WildForge's best brews have hidden recipes that aren't listed anywhere. Experiment with different ingredient combinations, timings, and aging durations to discover them. Share your discoveries with the community on Discord!
SignShop lets any player create a physical shop in the world using a chest and a sign. Buyers simply click the sign to purchase โ no menus, no commands. It's the backbone of WildForge Realms' player economy.
SignShop has a built-in tutorial. Run /signshop tutorial on to activate it โ the game will guide you through setup in chat as you place signs.
What You Need
- A chest stocked with the items you want to sell
- A sign placed adjacent to or on the chest
- Redstone dust in your hand to link them together
Sign Types
[Buy] Sign โ Players buy from you
The most common shop type. Players click the sign to buy items from your chest for the price you set.
Stock it with the items you want to sell. Make sure there's enough supply for buyers.
Put a sign on or next to the chest. On the first line type [Buy] exactly. On the fourth line type the price (e.g. 10 for $10).
With redstone dust in your main hand, punch the chest, then punch the sign. The shop is now active.
Have another player click the sign โ they'll buy the items from the chest and the price will transfer to you automatically.
[Sell] Sign โ Players sell to you
The reverse of a Buy sign. Players click it to sell items into your chest and you pay them the listed price. Great for buying materials from other players automatically.
- Line 1:
[Sell] - Line 4: price you'll pay per transaction
- Your chest must have enough currency to pay out โ keep it funded
[Trade] Sign โ Item for item exchange
Swap one set of items for another with no currency involved. Requires two chests โ one holding what you're offering, one holding what you want in return.
- Line 1:
[Trade] - Hold redstone dust, punch the offer chest, then the price chest, then the sign
- Players click the sign and the trade executes automatically if both sides have stock
[Share] Sign โ Split profits with another player
Link to another player's SignShop and split the profits. Useful for business partnerships.
- Line 1:
[Share] - Lines 2 and 3: partner player names
- Line 4: profit split percentage
How to Set the Price
The price is always on line 4 of the sign. Write just the number โ for example 50 means $50 per transaction. The amount of items per transaction is determined by what's in the chest at setup time.
The number of items in your chest when you link it with redstone determines how many items are bought or sold per click. If you put 64 items in and link it, each click buys 64 items at the listed price.
Managing Your Shop
- Restock โ just open the chest and add more items. No need to relink anything.
- Change price โ break the sign and place a new one with the updated price, then relink with redstone
- Remove shop โ break the sign to deactivate it. The chest remains untouched.
- Transfer ownership โ hold redstone and punch the new owner player, then punch the sign
Useful Commands
/signshop tutorial onโ Enable in-chat setup guidance/signshop tutorial offโ Disable the tutorial
Build your shop inside your land claim and make sure the chest is protected. Anyone with container trust on your claim can access the chest โ only give trust to players you know.
Tips for Running a Good Shop
- Place your shop in a visible, high-traffic area โ near spawn or along main roads
- Keep your chest stocked โ an empty chest means no sales
- Use signs above or around your shop to advertise what you sell
- Check competitor prices on the Dynmap or by exploring to stay competitive
- For a Sell shop, make sure your chest always has enough currency to pay buyers
